I can imagine there’s some truth there. I think the people who already write, who already think aloud through writing, will continue. I like reading the blogs of people I know. Almost none of my friends blog unfortunately. I still get most of my cutting edge info from blogs, so there’s a benefit that would keep me reading those I do.

On a previous post I talked about the conversation in the blogosphere about news and opinion. I just found a great example here of how the blurred lines between professional and blogger reporting can play out. It’s not just about who said what and when, it’s also about responsible reporting, breaking stories and attribution.
