Ok I’ll play

I’ve moved, been to NY and Québec and now I’m back and have begun my PhD process. It sounds weird, when I say that, it sounds so serious. What I’m really doing is taking 14 more graduate courses and then writing a short book. I’m complaining a bit because I’m not sure so much course work is necessary for me, the learner. It seems to be for the institution. In any event, I’m excited and a bit nervous about pulling it off and not being miserable in the process.
My remedy for avoiding misery is play, which I habitually forget because I get caught up in achieving. I’ll be taking Bernie’s Games class, which is fun and about fun. I’m sure it’s about what makes something fun and when it starts and stops being fun:motivating.
I’ve dipped into the gaming world in Second Life, and I keep up a bit on it too.
